He was born in Klagenfurt in 1934. In 1963, he came to Tyrol for work, where he set up his own stonemasonry business, got married and raised a family. For a while, he also invented and patented several ideas. In 1976, he stopped working as a stonemason for health reasons and began teaching at the Technical College of Art in Innsbruck. This enabled him to pass on his joy and enthusiasm for creativity to the next generation. Reinhold Drugowitsch's works cover a broad spectrum: woodcuts, sculptures, oil paintings, mosaics...
