Spring in Hall: Things to do in April

April is a wonderful time to explore Hall in Tirol and its surroundings. Nature awakens from its winter slumber, temperatures rise, and there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the region. Here are some of the best activities you can experience in Hall and the surrounding area in April:

Strolling Through the Old Town and Enjoying the Easter Atmosphere

The historic old town of Hall in Tirol is always worth a visit. In April, the alleys shine in a spring-like glow, and you can enjoy the first warm rays of sunshine in the cafés. If Easter falls in April, you’ll often find charming Easter and spring markets featuring artisan crafts and culinary specialties.

Hiking Through Blooming Nature

April is the perfect time for spring hikes. Here are my favorite routes in the area during this season:

Arzler Alm – A fantastic hike above Innsbruck, rewarded with regional specialties at the end.

Walderalm – The 2-hour trail from Gnadenwald is worth a visit in any season.

Thaurer Almweg – A beautiful ascent with a cozy place to stop for a break.

Cycling Along the Inn

With rising temperatures, the cycling season begins! The bike path, right on our doorstep, runs along the Inn River and is perfect for a relaxed tour. Whether you're heading toward Innsbruck or in the direction of Wattens/Kufstein, the picturesque scenery makes every ride a pleasure.

Experience Culture: Museums & Events

Mint Tower & Hall City Museum – Learn more about the city's history and its significance in salt trade and coin minting.

April Events – My highlight is the Easter Market, taking place on Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Hall’s old town.

Spring Concerts – April is filled with musical delights, from traditional Tyrolean sounds to classical performances.

What a View – Trip to the Nordkette

If you want to enjoy the last snow of the season, a trip to the Nordkette is the perfect choice. While spring has already arrived in Hall, you can still catch the last ski days up there or simply take in the breathtaking view over the Inn Valley.

A special highlight in spring is Figln (skiing with short skis on slushy snow) – definitely worth trying for yourself!
