Exploration Tour through the Old Town of Hall

As soon as you arrive, the first highlight awaits: Hall in Tyrol — one of Austria’s most beautiful old towns. Winding alleys, charming little shops, historic buildings, and cozy cafés invite you to stroll and linger. And the best part: everything is easily reachable on foot.

If you feel like a small viewpoint and some history, we recommend the Münzerturm (Mint Tower) and the Münzmuseum (Coin Museum). From there, you get a great view over the rooftops of the town all the way to the mountains — and learn why Hall was once a center of coin minting.

A Touch of Nature: Fresh Mountain Air

For those who want to be active and if you still have the energy, you can take the Glungezerbahn cable car to float a bit closer to the mountain world — the last ride in the late afternoon is perfect for a short breath of fresh high-altitude air.

Every Tuesday, the cable car runs until 10:00 pm.

Enjoy Tyrolean Cuisine

In the evening, it’s time to continue with some culinary delights — because Tyrol tastes really good too. In my favorite restaurants — Die Bretze, Der Goldene Löwe, or the Haller Bürgerstube — you can end the evening perfectly.

In the Morning: A Quick Visit to Swarovski?

If you still have time before continuing your journey, a visit to Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens is worthwhile. Just about a 10-minute drive from Hall, you’ll find a sparkling fantasy world of art, light, and design. A short tour (about one hour) is enough to truly marvel — and in the garden with the giant’s head, you can take some great souvenir photos.
