Experience the Partial Solar Eclipse at Glungezer
A truly rare event awaits on Wednesday, 12 August 2026: witness a spectacular partial solar eclipse surrounded by the breathtaking mountain scenery of Glungezer.
Together with the Astrostammtisch Heiligkreuz astronomy group, visitors can observe this extraordinary celestial event from the Tulfein mountain station using special telescopes equipped with safe solar filters. In Tyrol, the moon will cover around 89% of the sun, creating an unforgettable sight.
The eclipse begins at around 6:30 pm and continues into sunset, making for an especially magical experience in the peaceful atmosphere of the mountains.
