Top 5 in June
June is one of my favourite months of the year. The mountains are already showing their summer side, the alpine huts have reopened, the first warm evenings invite you to sit outside, and the season of festivals and events begins in and around Hall in Tirol.
If you're staying with us at the Badl in June, these are five experiences you definitely shouldn't miss:

Hike Through Halltal Valley to St. Magdalena
For me, Halltal Valley is one of the most beautiful natural areas right on our doorstep. The hike to the former pilgrimage church of St. Magdalena is suitable even for less experienced hikers and leads through a spectacular alpine landscape.
Along the way, you'll pass towering rock faces, traces of the region’s historic salt mining past, and countless scenic viewpoints offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The journey itself is just as rewarding as the destination.
At the top, the charming little church of St. Magdalena and the surrounding meadows provide the perfect setting for a peaceful break and a moment to simply enjoy the tranquillity of nature.
If you would like to experience Tyrol in its most authentic and unspoilt form, this is the perfect place to do so.

Discover Lake Achensee
It’s easy to see why Lake Achensee is often referred to as the “Tyrolean Fjord.” Its crystal-clear turquoise waters, framed by the dramatic peaks of the Karwendel and Rofan mountain ranges, create an unforgettable setting and an instant holiday feeling.
One of my favourite recommendations is the scenic trail between Pertisau and the Gaisalm. This leisurely walk follows the shoreline and offers breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains at every turn. If you like, you can even combine the hike with a boat trip and experience Achensee from the water as well.
On warm summer days, don’t forget to bring your swimsuit. A refreshing dip in the clear, cool water is the perfect way to round off a day by Tyrol’s largest lake.
Experience the Tyrolean Beer Festival in Hall
On June 6, Stiftsplatz in Hall in Tirol once again transforms into a paradise for beer lovers. At the Tyrolean Beer Festival, numerous local breweries showcase their finest craft beers and invite visitors to sample a wide variety of regional specialities.
Alongside the beers, you'll find delicious local food, a relaxed atmosphere, and the perfect opportunity to experience Hall from its most enjoyable and flavourful side.
My tip: Simply wander from stand to stand, discover new favourites, and soak up the lively atmosphere. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll through the historic old town and let the evening come to a relaxed end in one of Tyrol’s most beautiful settings.
Circo Paniko at the Hofratsgarten
From June 12 to June 28, Circo Paniko returns to the Hofratsgarten at Burg Hasegg, bringing with it a unique blend of acrobatics, live music, humour, and imagination. Together with Circo Inzir and the Gran Cabaret, they create an extraordinary circus experience unlike any other.
What makes this event so special is that it is far from a traditional circus. Instead, visitors can look forward to a poetic and artistic spectacle that delights both children and adults alike.
Set beneath the circus tent in the enchanting surroundings of Burg Hasegg, each performance offers a magical atmosphere that has made Circo Paniko one of the cultural highlights of the region year after year.

Yoga & Pilates in the Badl Garden
As the temperatures rise and our garden comes into full bloom, there is hardly a more beautiful place to start the day.
Together with Leonie, we invite you to join our Yoga & Brunch sessions: a relaxing open-air yoga class followed by a delicious breakfast featuring regional products, served in our garden.
If you prefer something a little more dynamic, Pilates & Brunch with Martina is the perfect choice. After an energising Pilates session, you can look forward to the same leisurely brunch and a wonderful start to your day.
For me, these mornings capture the essence of summer at the Badl: fresh air, movement, good food, and plenty of time to slow down and enjoy the moment.
