Want to cool down?
On a hot summer day, there’s nothing better than jumping into cold water. Let me briefly introduce you to my favorite spots.
Haller Freischwimmbad – A Classic with a New Shine
The freshly renovated Haller Freischwimmbad impresses with modern facilities and a spacious layout. The large sunbathing lawn and numerous lounge chairs invite you to relax.
The 50-meter sports and family pool has a depth of 1.60 meters at its deepest point and offers a pleasant water temperature of 25°C – perfect for cooling off. A highlight is the listed diving tower with jumping heights from 1m to a daring 10m – guaranteed adrenaline rush!
For the little ones, there’s a separate children’s pool with a slide, an 80-meter-long waterslide with its own landing pool, and a stainless-steel baby pool with a fun frog slide.
Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the football field or beach volleyball, while the kids can have fun at the playground.
For a quick break, the poolside restaurant with a sun terrace and a kiosk for snacks and ice cream are available.
Tip: With the guest card of the Hall-Wattens region, you get 50% off the entrance fee!
Alpenschwimmbad Wattens – Family-Friendly & Versatile
With a total of six pools (three for swimmers, three for non-swimmers) covering 1,905 m² of water area, the Alpenschwimmbad Wattens is a real summer highlight. The constant water temperature of 26°C ensures pleasant swimming.
Large sunbathing areas, an adventure children’s pool with a slide, and nearby recreational facilities such as a beach volleyball court and skate park make the visit especially varied.
Tip: With the guest card of the Hall-Wattens region, entrance is free!
Baggersee Innsbruck – Nature Meets Recreation
The Baggersee in Innsbruck offers a natural setting with urban comfort. Gravel and grass beaches, a swimming dock, and a bathing island make the day by the lake truly special. For families, there’s a designated paddling area, a waterslide, and a large playground with a slackline, water play hill, swings, and more.
For those who want to stay active, there are plenty of sports options: beach volleyball, badminton, mini golf, table tennis, or boccia – there’s something for everyone. Two restaurants provide delicious food and drinks.
In summer, the water warms up to a pleasant 24°C – perfect for a gentle refreshment. And in the autumn, the lake becomes a popular surfing spot!
Lansersee – Moor Bath with Wellness Effect
Above Innsbruck lies the picturesque Lansersee – a natural moor lake, fed by sources such as the nearby lily pond and groundwater. Swimming here is not only refreshing but also beneficial for the skin – true natural wellness amidst the Tyrolean mountains.
Insider Tip: From Friday to Sunday, the Koi Bar, a Japanese fusion restaurant, is open right by the lake – a stylish spot with a stunning view of the water.
